Uncle Terence the Great!

Grammy recently sent some amazing dress up dresses.  The girls love them.  Sam posed for me.

Zoey got in on the action.

Then there was twirling.

A source of much excitement was the visit of Uncle Terence.  Both girls had a ball playing with him.

As we often do with guest, we went to feed the swans.  Zoey was bad on the way there, so she stayed in the car.

Uncle Terence was a good sport and got on the floor to play with Sam's Goldie Blox set, a set to encourage girls to learn about engineering.

We spent a lot of time in the pool.  At the beginning of the summer, after swim lessons, both girls were hard to get to swim.  Sam took in water when she tried to take a breath and Zoey just did not like the whole thing.  But I word them down with playdates.  Sam got some nerves back swimming in pools with shallow ends that she could stand in.  And Uncle Terence was a super hero!  They wanted to show off for him.

Sam loved swimming to him.

She even started jumping off the side.  The same girl that clung to me crying when I wanted her to swim to the stairs in May.  What a difference!  We are thrilled.  She loves the pool now.

An underwater shot!

Zoey on her noodle boat.  What a face!

The highlight of the trip was going to Gatorland.  They had Florida resident ticket specials and Terence got in free for serving our country, so it ended up being a decent deal.

A picture at the famous mouth entrance.

The shows were amazing.  The gator here is jumping for chicken on a string.

This was part of the gator wrestling show.

So, you could actually buy hot dogs to feed the gators who were supposedly on a specialized diet.  We did not know this but ran into a family who did and they gave each girl a hot dog, so nice.  But Zoey actually tried to eat hers herself, Yum, snack time.  We had to react quickly since we did not know if they were even safe to eat and all that.  But the girls enjoyed feeding the gators so close.

Don;t they look just like celebrities!

We had a great time.  I highly recommend gatorland.

We were sad to see Terence leave and have been busy with school and starting our semesters.
The girls and I did manage to get in the pool again today.  I love the fact that our pool IS open way after labor day :)

Zoey worked on her skills with me and then did a lot of noodle boating around, but she loves to check out the fountain.

I am also doing a weekly photo challenge for September.  Here is my photo for the first week, water.   I really love my underwater camera.

Happy September!
