Family, Friends, Food, Farms, and Fish!

The past few weeks have been brought to us by the letter F!  We have had wonderful family time.  And great time with friends, including our first friends coming to visit Disney.  Great food.  We visited a farm.  And we set up our fish tank to be stocked starting tomorrow!

First, the Farm.  We went to Green Meadows Farm with PALS (http://www.greenmeadowsfarm.com/).  It was a lot of fun.  There was a train and hay ride, lots of animals, and you got a pumpkin.  Although they rotted.  Mom went with us to have fun and help since I had both kids.

Chasing turkeys.

Riding a pony.

A chicken bred for the heat with no neck feathers.

A Zorse, zebra horse hybrid.

Holding a duck.

John Deere!

Zoey had some fun, too.  But no naps!

Feeding a little goat.

Zoey loved the hay on the hay ride.

I'm this tall!  But she did not stand correctly since she is taller than measured.

Milking a cow.  I definitely see that differently now.

We have had a lot of other fun too.  We had a kids playdate at our house about Clifford.  And I hosted a Mom's Night In, Wine and Cheese night.  For that, we had Sam spend the night at my parents to let her sleep and start to train Zoey to eat only once per night.  She has been waking up so much, some nights it is down at 7, up at 11/11:30 and then 12:30/1 and then 3/4 and 5/6.  Just too much!  Especially when the day starts at 7 and I have so much to do after bedtime.  So we decided to try for only one feeding per night.  We are 2 nights in, wish us luck!

Zoey keeps changing and getting new experiences.  She tends to eat well.  She has her likes and dislikes, but really likes finger food; banana, puffs, tofu, etc.  Here she is with her first, banana.

She is always a busy girl.  She got the camera lens cover.

Climbing up on her dresser.  She can cruise now.

Check out her teeth.  The top 2 have broken through now as well.  And 2 on the sides are just under the surface.  We have had a few biting issues, but she is better now.  Let's hope she will stop that!

Another good teeth shot.

 My drawing for Clifford Day.

I also put out some Halloween decorations.  Sam enjoyed my old costume pieces.

 Zoey wanted to play, too.

Sam before sleepover at Nana's.

We also went to a local botanical gardens for the free plant sale day.  It was pretty, but not worth the drive or crowds.

Zoey chillin' in the stroller.

With a cute hat.

The tower at Bok Tower Gardens.

Then today we went to church for a fall festival.

Zoey missed it for a good nap.

Sam got her face painted, looking so serious.

We grabbed lunch afterwards.

This week is another busy one with playdates, Kindermusik, school, Dino world, and getting our first fish for our new tank!  And next weekend we will be going to Animal Kingdom with good friends!  Sam's first Disney.

Fun times!

A lot has happened lately.  We had our first playdate at our house while Nick was in Vegas.  It was rough getting it organized, but elephant day was a hit.

All decorated with the books and crafts prepared.

I served juice, fruit, crackers, and circus peanuts.

Zoey even had a friend to crawl around with.

They loved swapping "chew" toys.  That bothered me a bit, but some germ exposure is good, right.

Sam looking cool.

Then I had a nice birthday.  Nick spoiled me with roses and chocolate and dinner out.  And on the same day, Zoey turned 7 months.  Panda picture with a smile,

And the, what am I sitting in front of shot.

Sam also had a Nursery Rhyme/Fairy Tale Day at school.  Nana watched Zoey so I could go.  Sam had a blast.

Building the pigs house out of wood.

Her crown.
 An egg race.

Throwing balls at Humpty Dumpty, she was a great shot and knocked him down 2 out of 3.

Sheering a shaving cream sheep.

Finding bo peep's sheep.

She even brought the fun home, with a jack be nimble candlestick.  She wanted more challenge, so she put it on her crayon/marker thing.

First I was too late.

Then I was too early.

Finally got it!

And note the outfit.  I wear nursing tanks some with t-shirts over them.  Sam likes to copy me, so this was her tank under another shirt.  Love that girl!

We also had another PALS mothers club event, this time about Australia.  I was surprised, Sam did not like kiwi.  But she ate up the sausage (on the barbie) and fairy bread.

Zoey keeps getting to try more and more foods.  She actually like the bits of kiwi with seeds removed.  And she enjoyed her sweet potato/banana mix.

6 month photos!

It took 4 times to take photos without rain cancelling us and awhile to get them back, but here are some shots from Zoey's 6 month photos (really 6.5 month) with some of Sam and the family thrown in.  I love what Sarah Bisesi or Gemini Photos did (http://www.geminiportraits.com/Family/Kelling-Family/19206280_Xhhx3N#1497528949_GmDcMr7).  She took some great pictures and did some amazing editing.  Although we did not get any perfect family shots.  Zoey was pretty much over it by then :)  We did get some really cute ones.
